As you know each week I feature another blogger and one of their simple ideas for your home.
This week I am featuring my blogging friend Deb from Seeking Lavender Lane.
You are going to love her design aesthetic so I am not sharing one particular post but her blog as a whole.
There is so much inspiration on her blog and you have to be sure to go back and look at what her current home looked like prior to the remodel.
She and her sweet family are preparing for a big move, be sure to subscribe and following along on her journey.
From the blog
You know I love simple things for the home and that is why I started Simple Saturday to share easy ideas for home and life.
Keeping things simple help to keep life uncluttered physically and mentally.
Since Spring is in its glory these days I wanted to share a few simple ways to bring the feel of Spring into your home.
It really can be as simple as having fresh grocery store flowers, switching out your seasonal scents and adding lighter textures in your home.
If you have books that are seasonal brings those out, or maybe you can switch out decorative books in the hues you want to use this Spring.
These simple ideas can bring about the feel of change in your home.
Now if you look at Instagram and Pinterest you will see people completely changing out their decor but I really do not believe that is necessary.
One of my favorite scents for Spring and summer is a stove top potpourri so I thought you might enjoy the recipe.
Stovetop Spring potpourri
- Fill a medium pot 3/4 full of water and add the ingredients below.
- Add two sliced lemons
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
- Bring water to a boil then lower to a simmer
- Let simmer as long as you would like, checking water frequently
This mixture will keep for a few days before it is necessary to make more.
