Style and comfort with Fanimation
This sponsored post is brought to you by Fanimation. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Over the years there has been quite a bit of banter about the use of ceiling fans in home decor. I am excited to share how comfort and style meet with Fanimation.
Some may argue that a fan does not actually cool the room and while that may be true, according to the NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) “ceiling fans can help to lower your electric bills by up to 40% even though it does not actually decrease the temperature.” While running a fan you can raise your thermostat in the summer months while still keeping your room comfortable. During the winter months you can run your fan blades clockwise to pull the heat down, while not causing a draft, therefore, helping your room to be warmer. Who doesn’t want lower electric bills, right?
WouId you believe me if I told you that the ceiling fans of today can be both stylish and comforting? I know, I did not believe it myself until I met the Fanimation vendor at the Haven Conference in July. We spent some time talking about their products and looked over the huge catalog from their showroom collection. There honestly is something for every style home or small business.
The images above from Fanimation show just a few of the many designs they have in their showroom edition of ceiling fans and tabletop fans.
Ceiling fans have truly evolved over the years and are just not merely for air flow anymore. They can add aesthetic style of your home in a more artful way while reducing the cost of heating and cooling your home.
After looking over the diverse choices Fanimation offers, I was excited to choose one for our home. Our current fan had been in our home since we built it 15 years ago, it was certainly time for an update for aesthetics and energy efficiency.
Below is the exact fan that we chose for our home. It is pleasing to the eye and fulfills its purpose in the room. The ceilings throughout our home are 15 ft high, living in a high humidity coastal area, it just was not an option to not have a fan. Having have high pitched ceilings it is expensive to heat and cool your home. Fanimation fans have earned the Energy Star rating for the level of efficiency it offers.
The Levon Custom ceiling fan in Griege, has the weathered look of the blades and it fits nicely into the farmhouse/coastal/rustic home decor styles, making it a universal fan, one that I think will fit for years to come. Believe me, they have a ton that would fit into those styles, and many other styles including modern, tropical and industrial.
Fanimation fans marry style and comfort while offering a large selection of features such as; fan control type, light kits, wattage bulb style, speed and reverse location , Fansync (bluetooth), Energy efficient DC motor and Star Energy rating. They have fans that are rated for dry indoor, wet or damp and outdoor rated fans as well. The possibilities are many with this company and they aim to please with their selections and customer service.
My husband spent about 5 hours installing the new fan. He did have a few issues with the fan box that was previously installed, therefor adding time to the installation process. For the most part it was an easy process, the instructions were well written and it included great graphics. The pay off is huge when looking at the finished product.
Our new fan has been installed for a few days, if you look at the pictures there is just no comparison of the old to the new. Ignore the dust that may be on the old fan. Our new fan adds style and comfort, don’t you think?
If you are currently in the market for a new ceiling fan or looking to add a ceiling fan to your home or business, Fanimation is a great place to look. You can access their site to find out if there are local dealers in your area at http://www.fanimation.com.
This process has really changed my thoughts and opinions on using ceiling fans in our home. I hope that your opinions have changed as well. Ceiling fans are not just for air flow anymore. It is nice to have something in your home that is not only functional and energy saving, but adds a finishing touch while adding a pleasing aesthetic that is unique to your home.
Till next time

They make great fans! I won that adorable black fan at Haven. My kids love it…I think it looks like the cool old cars that my dad used to drive! Thanks for sharing 🙂
They have so many great fans Marissa and I am loving the one that is part of my office makeover. That one is coming in a post soon.
That fan is gorgeous! Perfect choice, and I’m so glad you are happy with it! I will definitely contact them the next time I need a fan!
Thank you Julie, and so sorry for the delayed response that hurricane just caused me to get behind.
