The plan for reviving our homes curb appeal
Spring is the perfect time of year to work on your home inside and out. With the warmer days it is a great season to revive our homes curb appeal with an exterior home refresh.
Seventeen years ago we built our home at the coast. It is vinyl siding and stone which created a home with little to no maintenence.
Other than yearly pressure washing it has been easy to keep up the exterior of our home.
Even though maintence has been easy, I have been craving some change.
Here is a look at how the outside of our home looks.
Plan for the exterior refresh
There are only a few changes that I would like to make in order to brighten up the space a bit.
Our plan to revive our homes curb appeal is basically a color refresh.
We have two sets of shutters that are currently hunter green that I would like to change to “Potting Shed” by Duron.

This color will go so will with our stone variations on the exterior and brighten it up just a bit while refreshing the exterior.
The only other thing on the front that I updated a few years ago was the front door.
Now it is time to give that a refresh as well.
Front door refresh
I have been on the hunt for the perfect color to add a bit of pop to the front of our home to give it a refresh and think I finally found it.
This “Leap of Faith” is the perfect golden, yellow.

I think this color ads a bit of warmth and a pop to the front exterior to our home.
For the cost of two quarts of paint I will be able to give our homes exterior a refresh.
Little cost of time and money while creating big impact in reviving our homes curb appeal.
Aside from adding colorful plants and pillows to the front porch, this refresh of our homes curb appeal is really simple.
I used the myperfectcolor.com to look up each color and it gives all types of information on the branch and each color you research.
This is a great tool to research colors you may be considering for your home.
When I get this little exterior refresh that will revive our homes curb appeal completed I will come back with an update.
Till next time
Xoxo

Lovely colors… and looks like a quick project that will pack a punch! Love this outdoor refresh plan!
Thank you Julie, I think it will make a big impact on the curb appeal.
Thanks Julie, I think the simple change in colors will make a big difference.
I have never heard of My Perfect Color. I’ll have to look that up as it sounds like a very useful tool.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen the exterior of your home. I hope you share before pictures of the shutters and front door when you show us the end result of your painting project.
Hi Paula, I just stumbled upon that My Perfect Color by googling information about paint and it did come in handy. The picture I have in this post shows one of the shutters (we only have two sets) and the front door, but you can see how the front door color is sort of lost. I am thinking this new color will be a nice change and I will share a comparison of both when it is complete. I think it will be a big difference.
It’s amazing what a difference paint can make! I love the colors you chose and know it will come together beautifully!
Thank you Lynne, it is truly amazing what a simple color change can do for your home, inside and out.
