Encouragement for your home and heart
Welcome old and new friends, I am so glad you are here.
I wanted to take a minute to tell you about myself and to share a bit of my heart with you.
As an older mom with an almost 20 year old son, a daughter in college and a middle school child on the spectrum, my days are full.
This journey of weeding through the trials of raising a special needs son and going through midlife at the same time have been challenging to say the least.
Recently I have felt called to share this special needs journey as an older mom, while continuing to encourage you in your home decor as well.
My love of home decor, diy projects and budget friendly ideas are still alive and thriving.
Those are things that bring me joy outside of my family, being able to do something I enjoy helps me get through this crazy, beautiful life of raising a special needs child.
But there is so much more to my story and sharing the hard parts to help build a community of Moms who may be in similar situations and who love home decor and diy’s is what I felt led to do.
It is my desire that this be a place where you can find encouragement in the everyday chaos of raising a special needs child while creating a beautiful, intentional life and home.
My plan is to post twice a week, one post being home decor or diy projects and the other some tips/encouragement for special needs moms.
There will also be a monthly newsletter where I will be sharing content for my subscribers that is not shared here on the blog.
In no way do I have this all figured out but I am looking forward to walking along side you in creating a peaceful home and offer encouragement for your mama heart.
Romans 14:19 “So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.”
Till next time
Xoxo

Hi Sonya!
I think it’s wonderful that you’re following your heart. There are many people out there that are in your shoes, whom I’m sure will be grateful to hear what you share. Good for you – for going there and letting your voice be heard. I wish you the best!

Thank you so much Kim, it is a scary step but one that I have felt called to do. I hope to encourage women in their homes and mamas of special needs kids.
Sounds like you have been doing some re-evaluating! Looking forward to seeing your posts each week!
Hey Julie, it has been on my heart for a while and felt it was time to sprinkle in some encouragement with my decor post. As always I really appreciate your support.
