I am sharing this super easy Traditional Christmas cookies to make with your friends and family.
When I think of the holiday season, baking is always the first thing I think of.
Traditions are generally a huge part of the holiday season for many families.
One of our favorite family traditions during the holidays is baking Christmas cookies to take to neighbors and friends.
Another fun thing we like to do is invite my daughters friends over for a cookie baking and decorating party.
These easy cookies have been a family favorite for many years.
The fun part with these Traditional Christmas cookies is you can be creative in what shapes you use, the colors you decorate them with and the flavors you decide to add.
This particular cookie can be made year around based on the extract you decide to flavor them with.
I also love a recipe that does not require a ton of ingredients, and this one is perfect.
Lets get baking.

Cut out sugar cookies decorated with icing are my very favorite Christmas cookie. I love getting out the Christmas cookie cutters that I’ve purchased over the years and making a big batch of cut out cookies and then decorating them with icing and sprinkles. Your cookies look so pretty on your platter and if that platter was at my house, it would have been emptied very quickly.
Thank you so much Paula, it is always fun to decorate cookies for the holidays. I have a huge collection of cookie cutters that I have collected for a long time and love using them.
These sound wonderful; the perfect cookie to bake with kids, too! I’d love to try the version with the almond extract. Yum!
Hi Carrie, the kids really do love making these cookies. The almond extract is one of my favorites.
