It has blue walls I didn’t choose
and dark cabinets I probably wouldn’t pick. For a long time, that bothered me more than I want to admit. I thought I needed to change everything before it could really feel like home. But somewhere along the way... that shifted. I stopped focusing on what wasn’t ideal and started paying attention to what was. The way the light comes in during the afternoon
The little corners I’ve slowly made my own. The quiet moments that happen here every day, and now, even with the blue walls and dark
cabinets... it feels like home not because it’s perfect-but because I’ve lived in it, softened it, made it mine.
