Traditional Christmas Cookie
A simple Christmas cookie

- stand mixer
Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cup sifted all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup soft butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla can use almond, peppermint, orange or lemon extract in place of vanilla
Instructions
- Sift together in a bowl flour, baking power and sugar and set aside
- Put softened butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla in a bowl and beat until mixed well
- fold in the flour mixture
- chill for 1 hour
- roll out 1/8" and cut into desired shape
- Put on greased cookie sheet
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes
- let cool completely and decorate
